Boeing Global Services (BGS) seeks a Mid-Level Flight Simulator Technical Hardware Specialist to join our team in sunny Long Beach, California.
Position Responsibilities:
- Acting as the focal point for Training Device Manufacturers (TDM), Airplane Customers, and internal/external training centers for hardware requirements.
- Developing new airplane model hardware kits, defining flight deck components to be provided by Boeing to simulator manufacturers to match aircraft design.
- Interfacing with Supplier Management to manage the order and delivery of new kit part requirements.
- Acting as a liaison between Supplier Management, TDM, Boeing, and supplier technical staff.
- Supporting regulatory reviews and simulator approvals.
- This position requires strong coordination and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Tracking hardware configurations and locations to support simulator “Ready For Training” requirements.
- Utilizing project management skills to organize multiple programs concurrently.
- Providing engineering technical support to sustaining programs as required.
- Providing information to facilitate parts moving through Boeing systems/supply chain.
- Utilizing Electronic Standardized Process for Engineering Coordination (eSPEC) to create kits for driving demands for PMDB projects.
- Utilizing Change Lifecycle Management Application to request changes for PMDB project shipments that support BSPs.
- Utilizing Simulator Tracking and Recording System (STARS) Tableau or obtaining the ability to use it.
- Having knowledge of or experience using Boeing Enterprise Shipping System (BESSY) to look up shipments that support Boeing Simulator Projects (BSP) is a plus.
- Having knowledge of using REDARS and Boeing drawing systems.
- Having knowledge of using Project Management Database (PMDB) for operational tracking and loading BSP demands and shipments.
- Having knowledge of using Production ERP Environment to status parts needed to support BSPs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years’ related work experience.
SUMMARY PAY RANGE MID-LEVEL (LEVEL 3): $75,500 - $103,500
