The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a Mid-LevelManufacturing Engineer to support Flight test in Everett, WA.

The Flight test Manufacturing Engineer is an assembly and installation engineer within Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) that supports installation planning by providing design review, manufacturing plan authorship, fabrication sourcing (inside and outside of Boeing), interface with procurement (including tracking), and supports during the build/installation.
The primary focus of this position is to lead, manage and support flight test design & planning efforts located in Everett, WA. These efforts represent a wide variety of research and production programs primary in support of Boeing Commercial airplanes (BCA)
Manufacturing Engineers (ME’s) are owners of the build plan and ensure compliance to design configuration and process requirements, Manufacturing Engineering performs Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) analysis and develops an integrated build plan consisting of work instructions for assembly/fabrication, kitting, tooling, inspection requirements, and other outputs to endure fabrication meets design, test, and program requirements.
This role is primarily first shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering design or manufacturing engineering
  • 3+ years of experience working with manufacturing planning tools
  • 1+ years of experience with a design tool (CAD package) like Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 2+ years of experience working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment
  • Experience in support of commercial and military customers.
  • Experience in ME and processes across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Knowledge of machine shop fabrication capabilities including conventional & CNC machining, EDM, fit/finish tools & processes, and QA inspection
  • Knowledge/familiarity with rapid prototyping processes & tools
  • Ability to travel up to 10% both domestic and international

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Lead development and maintenance of manufacturing/build processes, BOMs, work instructions, and training to support flight test programs
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and suppliers to integrate design, test, fabrication, and supplier solutions while managing work statements, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Conduct producibility assessments, define manufacturing strategies, and operate independently to meet delivery and program objectives
