Job Title: Mid-Level Marketing Manager Job Type: Full-time / Remote Work Hours: PST (Pacific Standard Time) Job Overview: We’re helping our client find a Mid-Level Marketing Manager to take full ownership of email and SMS marketing strategy, execution, and performance, while confidently planning and managing the broader marketing calendar. In this role, you will operate as a hands-on builder and strategic thinker, responsible for delivering thoughtful, conversion-driven campaigns that support engagement, retention, and revenue growth across the customer lifecycle. Responsibilities:Email & SMS Ownership • Plan, write, design, schedule, and optimize all email and SMS campaigns end-to-end • Manage segmentation, flows, automations, and promotional sends • Continuously test subject lines, creative, and messaging to improve performance Marketing Calendar & Campaign Planning • Build and maintain monthly and seasonal marketing calendars • Develop campaign concepts aligned to launches, promotions, and key retail moments • Ensure cross-channel coordination and timely execution Creative & Copy Execution • Write clear, compelling, conversion-focused marketing copy • Produce simple campaign graphics or collaborate with designers when needed • Translate strategy into executable creative direction Performance & Optimization • Monitor KPIs including open rate, CTR, conversion, and revenue attribution • Deliver insights and recommendations to continuously improve results Must-Have: Experience & Background • 3–6 years of experience in email, SMS, or lifecycle marketing, preferably within e-commerce or consumer brands • Proven track record of executing conversion-focused campaigns that drive engagement, retention, and revenue • Hands-on experience managing marketing calendars, promotions, and seasonal campaigns Technical & Platform Skills • Proficiency with platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Attentive, Postscript, or similar • Strong understanding of segmentation, automations, customer journeys, and A/B testing • Comfortable working with analytics dashboards, attribution data, and performance reporting • Basic design capability in Canva, Figma, or Adobe tools, or the ability to brief designers effectively Marketing & Analytical Capability • Solid grasp of direct-response marketing, conversion optimization, and lifecycle strategy • Ability to interpret KPIs (open rate, CTR, CVR, revenue per send) and translate insights into clear optimization actions • Strong copywriting ability with clear, engaging, brand-aligned messaging Working Style & Soft Skills • Highly organized with strong time management and planning ability • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, execution-focused environment • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously • Clear communicator who collaborates well with design, growth, and leadership teams • Self-motivated and effective in a remote or fast-paced startup environment Nice-to-Have: • Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms • Familiarity with customer retention, loyalty programs, or subscription models • Exposure to paid media coordination or broader omnichannel campaign planning
