Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Mid-Level or Senior Lean Practitioner (Level 3 or 4) to support the Process Improvement team in Portland, Oregon.
The Lean Practitioner will act as a Process Improvement Specialist, joining the Process Improvement Team to support problem solving activities and facilitate Lean events to drive improvements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience with aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous improvement practices and tools in the workplace
  • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Level 4: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience with project management
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams through implementing process improvements and standardized processes
  • 3+ years of experience driving organizational change through simplification of processes and frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
Responsibilities
  • Provide trainings related Lean
  • Develop and execute Lean Plan, maintain program needs to achieve targeted goals
  • Participate/Lead problem solving activities
  • Collect and analyze data, drive improvements
  • Develop and motivate employees and mid-level managers
  • Develop standard work for internal departmental use
  • Perform audits and drive change related to Lean and Compliance
  • Project management, information gathering and reporting
  • Provides oversight of improvement activities from concept to implementation
