JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Software Engineer to design, modify, develop, write, and implement secure and mission-critical software applications for DoD programs. The ideal candidate will work within cross-functional teams, provide technical support, and contribute to complex projects that enhance defense operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Secret Clearance: TS preferred
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of software engineering experience OR
  • Master’s Degree or higher with 1 year of experience.
  • Experience:
  • 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree OR
  • 1 year of experience with a Master’s Degree or higher.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or embedded systems development.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices, software architecture, and software lifecycle management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
  • Knowledge of military systems, DoD applications, and cybersecurity best practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with classified defense systems and DoD contracts.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing solutions for DoD applications (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software engineering methodologies.
  • Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or DoD-approved software development credentials.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement software programming applications and operating systems for defense use.
  • Modify and enhance existing software solutions, ensuring optimal security and functionality.
  • Write, review, and maintain efficient, high-quality, and well-documented code aligned with DoD cybersecurity standards.
  • Provide technical consultation and troubleshooting on complex projects.
  • Coordinate work teams, mentoring junior developers and ensuring collaboration across departments.
  • Conduct software testing, debugging, and validation to ensure operational readiness.
  • Assist in software architecture decisions and secure software development methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD security protocols.
