Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level Supplier Quality Specialist (Virtual) in San Diego, CA.
This position is available for 1st shift.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent work or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience in conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits
  • 3+ years of experience with conducting Quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments
  • 1+ years of experience with monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience in conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits
  • Experience with the application of improvement methodologies such as (Lean, Theory of Constraints and/or Six Sigma) to achieve measurable results
  • Experience with Aerospace industry standards: AS9100, AS9102, AS9138, AS9145, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office tool suite and project management software tools
  • Experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an accredited course of study
Responsibilities
  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of suppliers’ systems, processes and products.
  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
  • Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
  • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
  • Resolves routine issues and concerns.
