POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Unified Communications Engineer to support mission-critical voice, video, and data communication systems within a secure facility in Clarksburg, WV. This position requires technical expertise in unified communications (UC), as well as experience in engineering, implementation, and support of large-scale telecommunications systems. Candidates must hold a Top-Secret clearance with eligibility for Full Scope Polygraph.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; OR four (4) years of directly related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in UC environments including voice, video conferencing, and data communications systems
  • Proficiency in configuring and supporting audio technologies and conferencing platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and experience interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Understanding of telecom protocols and transmission technique

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in classified or secure government environments
  • Hands-on knowledge of unified communication platforms (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, VTC systems)
  • Familiarity with AV integration and supporting cross-functional systems (audio, video, data)
  • Certifications such as CCNA Collaboration, CompTIA Network+, or similar are a plu
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical direction and analysis for UC and telecommunications systems, including voice, video, and data integration
  • Plan, design, configure, integrate, install, and maintain complex communication networks in secure environments
  • Apply engineering principles and theory to propose new design solutions and configuration alternatives for UC systems
  • Analyze network performance, traffic flow, access methods, transmission techniques, and protocol integration with computer systems
  • Perform advanced engineering or analytical tasks within various telecom areas such as network design, engineering, implementation, or operational/user support
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple UC technologies and audio applications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure successful delivery of telecommunication solutions
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with security protocols and standards
  • Provide end-user support and training as needed, with excellent customer service and communication skills
