The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Versatile Technologist to join the Information Technology and Data Analytics (IT&DA) team in Dallas, TX.
In this role, the selected candidate will operate as a Boeing Distribution (BDI) – Information Technology (IT) Site Operations Support Technician and provide system operations support for break/fix, installation, access control, information assurance and request fulfillment of IT services including Server, Storage and Backup.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 4+ years of experience with computing administration to include managing Microsoft active directory design, deploy and operational support
  • 3+ years of experience administering user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet network security requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with operating system (Windows and/or Linux) installation, setup, and basic troubleshooting
  • 3+ years of experience with Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems (Server 2016-2022 Windows 10)
  • 3+ years of experience with MS Windows server (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) administration on physical and VMWare virtual servers
  • 3+ years of experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Configuration Management systems, Change Management, and PLM Processes and Tools
  • 3+ years of experience with working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support
  • 5+ years of experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
  • 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on Virtual Machine Ware (VMware)
  • 5+ years of experience evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience, 9 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide system administration and management for BDI systems & applications
  • Server and application stand-up, application upgrade and change control post inspection
  • Configure security policies and apply necessary security patches and system updates to maintain security compliance and continuous monitoring
  • Provide IT support to satisfy application support and Boeing Security compliance requirements utilizing Enterprise services when applicable
  • Provide the software, hardware, and management of all Windows Servers within the Program Enterprise
  • Partner with other IT Infrastructure Teams to develop, manage, and integrate requirements for infrastructure services to meet business, program, site, and functional needs
  • Assist the IT Business Success Leader (ITBSL) performing business planning, demand management, and prioritization for IT infrastructure services
  • Partner with other IT infrastructure teams to communicate plans and manage service escalations
  • Lead business impact assessment for production system outages
  • Participate in end-to-end service delivery management for IT infrastructure services to ensure business requirements are met and consistent with Service Level Agreements
  • Partner closely with Program Management and the ITBSL to prioritize and schedule IT projects, initiatives and service requests
    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
