Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Mid-Level Wheel and Brake Technician to join our team in Dallas, TX.
In this role, the selected candidate will execute the wheel and brake production plan and follow all safety and quality policies to ensure productivity goals are met. The candidate must be willing to work in all areas of the shop including receiving, disassembly, cleaning, painting, assembly and shipping.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience working under FAA 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station Regulations or military equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft mechanical component and repair procedures
  • 5+ years of experience using various power and hand tools to support general maintenance (torquing devices, fastener installation, safety wire, drills, sealing tools and applicators)
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8-hour shift

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience working in a FAA Repair Station environment
  • Currently hold an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) and/or an Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) license
Responsibilities
  • Ability and experience using HVLP paint equipment to apply primers, paints and special coatings.
  • Receive and prioritize orders; Performs initial inspections on units received for repair.
  • Ability to use a computer in a production environment
  • Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
  • Operate various hand and power tools, mechanical and testing equipment throughout repair process.
  • Perform tear-down of assemblies to the appropriate level dependent on repair scope.
  • Clean/media blast of sub-assemblies and associated parts.
  • Applying/using chemical solvents, sealants, coatings and adhesives.
  • Ensure that parts issued are correct for the specific assembly and are free of visible defects.
  • Assembles fabricated parts to relatively small or light sub-assemblies and complete units.
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications of OEM or aircraft manual.
  • Inspect work for quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris)
  • Ability to gather, retain, and recall a variety of facts and data in written and/or verbal form for the achievement of work tasks and duties
  • Assist other technicians as needed
  • Completes special projects and other duties as assigned
