SUMMARY

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with a real-world knowledge and experience in relational databases and strong developer mindset, to join our Database infrastructure team - a part of CloudOS, SAP Signavio in Germany.
Being part of this team is an opportunity to lead improvements of the diverse database landscape of the entire SAP Signavio organization, establish best practices, help engineering teams ramp up their knowledge, maintain central components of the persistence layer, and enable adoption of HANA Cloud – SAP’s database technology.

• Take joined ownership of our existing AWS RDS and SAP HANA DBs infrastructure – from maintenance to improvements in scalability, reliability, ease of use, costs etc.
• Enhance continuous performance monitoring and improvements of database systems, as well as guiding teams through challenging situations requiring understanding of database engines, including performance analysis and optimisation.
• Contribute to the entire life cycle of product development, from first ideas and brainstorming sessions to continuously delivering improvements based on internal customer data, using Infrastructure-as-Code approaches.
• Collaborate with other teams and Tech Leads across the organization to establish and evolve best practices.
