Mid-Senior Full-Stack Wordpress Developer
Remote - Canada | Contract
Our small but energetic start-up e-commerce client located in Vancouver, Canada is looking for solid and reliable Full-Stack WordPress Developer to single-handedly manage the ongoing maintenance, support, and development of their WordPress-based ecommerce platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the website, implementing new features and enhancements, and optimizing the infrastructure for performance and scalability.
It’s a long-term contract opportunity without the end-date. The engagement is fully remote, successful candidates can be located anywhere in Latin America, as long as you are available for a significant overlap with the PST time zone. You’ll need to have good English communication skills (at least B2 or higher) for this role. Please note that there is a potential opportunity for the interested candidate to be sponsored by the company to eventually move to Canada.

REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of work experience in Full-Stack Software Development
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience working with WordPress, WooCommerce, Dokan, and Auction plugins.
Proven experience working with WP Core and building plugins.
Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
Experience with AWS or other cloud hosting platforms is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of ecommerce principles, including payment gateways, shipping methods, and product management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
