What You’ll Do Develop and maintain REST APIs using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot Build microservices powering FX order flow, pricing, and trade execution Integrate APIs with PostgreSQL and other data providers Collaborate with front-end teams to align API contracts and workflows Write maintainable, testable code aligned with industry best practices Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to backend design Troubleshoot trading-related performance issues and optimize latency Contribute to Agile ceremonies including planning, estimation, and reviews What You Bring 5+ years backend Java development experience Strong experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring MVC Experience building REST APIs and microservices Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) Familiarity with performance tuning and concurrency Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile workflows Ability to work independently in a greenfield engineering environment Nice to Have Experience with FX trading, capital markets, or financial applications Exposure to Kafka or other messaging systems Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure Experience with real-time or event-driven processing Legal & Hiring Information Exadel is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusion across minority, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, and more Reasonable accommodations are available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Please note: this job description is not exhaustive.
