Description

Qualifications * High School degree, College degree preferred * Previous volleyball coaching or playing experience Responsibilities * Coach girls volleyball for grades 1-4 and 5-8 * Availability for late afternoon or early evening practices, typically two-three days per week 3:30pm-5pm Monday-Friday and games one-two days per week, typically between 5:30pm-8:30pm Monday-Thursday. * Supports and upholds the mission and values of the International School of Texas * Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters * Models professional conduct and sportsmanship while instilling these characteristics within team members * Schedules practices in consultation with the Athletic Director * Monitors physical condition and fitness of participants and reports injuries to parents and school officials * Continually monitors and supervises all activities of the participants at all practices and competitions * Follows school policies regarding safety guidelines * Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits * Able to instruct athletes about proper strategy, skills, and rules of the game * Able to motivate student-athletes to perform optimally as an individual athlete and team member * Uses approved, corrective, and positive discipline procedures in dealing with inappropriate student conduct * Required to lift or carry athletic equipment and supplies * Required to maintain composure Benefits * $50/hour
