Description
Position Summary: This role consists of ensuring quality of Financials (Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss) and managing specific accounting calculations, closing review and regulatory reporting for the legal entities under responsibility. The Middle Office Accounting Expert shall be assigned to participate as an Expert Key User in Accounting transformation projects, including but not limited to IT system rollout, process harmonization and new business tender & onboarding. Key Responsibilities: Accounting Calculations: Perform calculations related to Bad Debts, Provisions & Accruals and Fixed Assets. Closing Review: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial closing process. Regulatory Reporting: Execute and communicate statutory, regulatory, and specific financial reporting requirements. Accounting Process Automation & Enhancement: Act as an Subject Matter Expert to support transformation projects involving accounting processes, IT system rollout, and process harmonization. Key Requirements: Experience: At least 4-5 years of progressive accounting experience in the insurance industry preferably in an international large group reporting environment Knowledge: Strong accounting expertise, sound understanding of the A&R master processes. Finance acumen: Solid internal control culture , tax knowledge, and regulatory frameworks like IFRS and Solvency II. Technical Proficiency: Fluency in using SAP FI module and Excel. The PowerBI & SQL would be a plus but not a must. Communication Skills: Fluent in both Greek and English. Collaboration: Strong networking and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across different cultures and organizations worldwide, including remote teams. Efficiency: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to analyse complex concepts and draw meaningful conclusions. Data Synthesis: Proficiency in handling large volumes of accounting data to identify anomalies and extract specific insights. Location: Antalya or Istanbul. Why Join Us?
