We are looking for a Middle+ PHP Developer 👥 Customer Description: International company operating in the geriatrics sector. 🧩 Project Description: Software system for managing nursing homes in multiple countries (operations, patient data, administration, reporting, etc.). The PHP Developer will participate in consolidating two legacy PHP codebases into one unified system, stabilizing the product, and preparing it for future technical transformation (PHP 8, PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure, framework adoption). 💡 Hard Skills / Must Have: • 4+ years of commercial experience with PHP • Strong experience with C# • Strong experience with PHP 7 • Experience working with legacy systems • Experience working without a framework or with custom architecture • Solid understanding of OOP principles • Experience with SQL Server • Good understanding of stored procedures and SQL query optimization • Experience handling large and complex codebases • Experience with code merging and refactoring • Strong Git skills (branches, resolving conflicts, etc.) ✨ Hard Skills / Nice to Have (Optional): • Experience upgrading PHP 7 to PHP 8 • Experience migrating SQL Server to PostgreSQL • Experience with cloud platforms • Experience introducing PHP frameworks into legacy systems • Understanding of CI/CD processes 📌 Responsibilities and Tasks: • Analyze and understand two existing codebases • Contribute to defining and executing the merge strategy • Refactor and harmonize business logic • Optimize database interactions and SQL queries • Collaborate closely with the DBA on stored procedures • Support system stability during the merge phase • Participate in technical planning and roadmap discussions • Prepare the system for PHP 8 upgrade • Conduct code reviews • Document key architectural decisions 🧪 Technology Stack:PHP 7, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, cloud platform, C# 📩 Ready to Join?
