KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design & Develop: Craft robust, scalable software solutions for our payments platform using modern PHP practices and event-driven architecture. Balance perfection with practical completion to deliver features efficiently.
• Own Quality: Implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure 99.9%+ uptime for mission-critical payment systems. Identify and mitigate security risks to maintain system integrity.
• Drive Innovation: Lead technical initiatives to enhance performance, reduce operational costs, and elevate user experience. Proactively identify potential issues and communicate them to your manager.
• Collaborate & Mentor: Engage in pair programming, lead code reviews, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with the product manager on designing smaller features and translating product requirements into working features.
• Champion Engineering Excellence: Implement CI/CD pipelines, contribute to technical documentation, and advocate for best practices. Provide constructive pull request reviews and occasionally point out issues to team members.
• Measure Impact: Track and report on key technical metrics that drive business outcomes. Understand the team’s projects and domain well, and provide insights on how new features will impact overall system performance.
