Position: Middle School ELA/Math Lab Teacher
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, in Math or ELA, or a related field. Valid teaching certificaiton in relavent subject areas. Special Education Certifications is a plus. Ecperiance in teaching reading and mathematics at the primary or secondary level. Strong knowledge of literacy and numeracy instructional stratagies and assessment methods. Ability to differentiate instruciton to meet the diverse needs of students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships students, parents, and colleagues. Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
Reports To: Building Principal
Job Goal: The English Language Arts Lab/Math Lab position is a critical role within our educational institution, decicated to fostering a robust learning enviroment for middle school students. As an integral part of our teaching staff, the selcted candidate will focus on enhancing students’ literacy and numeracy skills, ensuring that each child receives personalized instruction tailored to their unique learning needs. This position encompasses co-plaining with both the Math and English Language Arts teachers, teaching the support of the Math and English Language Arts curriculums, assessment of instructional strategies, that promote academic achievement and inspire a love for learning in both reading and mathematics. The ideal candadiate will possess a strong understanding of pedagogical techniques, curriculum standards, assessment practices, which will enable them to create engaging lesson plans that align with educational objectives. Collaboration with fellow educators, parents, and edcational specialists will be essential to craft a comprehensive support system for our students, addressing any academic challenges that may encounter. Additionally, the English Language Arts/Math Lab role necessitates a commitment to continuous professional development, advocating for best practices in literacy and numeracy instruction to prepare our students for future academic success and lifelong learning. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator who can inspire students and help them realize their potential through effective and innovative teaching practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging instructional plans for English Language Arts and Mathematics to meeti diverse student needs.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other educators to develop intergrated lessons plans that reinforce English Language Arts and Mathematics skills across the curriculum.
  • Provide indivdualized support to students struggling with Enlgish Language Arts and Mathematics concept through targeted instructions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support at home.
  • Participate in professioanl development opportunities to enhance instructional techniques and stay current with educational best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance using the SAU9 reporting tool, (PLP), and provide regualr feedback to students and families.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and follows all district policies and procedures.
  • Performs oither duties as may be assigned by the Building Principal.
    Terms of Employment: In accordance with the Bartlett Education Association (BEA) contract and Distrcit policies.
    Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated by the Building Principal in accordance with District evaluation procedures.

This position will be reviewed annually and the need for this position will be determmined on the student numbers and/or students adademic needs.
