Position Overview Cherry Hills Christian School is seeking a Christ-centered, compassionate, and highly collaborative Learning Specialist who is committed to supporting diverse learners and equipping students to live fully for God. The Learning Specialist plays a vital role in fostering academic growth while ensuring that every child is known, supported, and valued as God’s unique masterpiece. Role Responsibilities Provide targeted academic instruction and intervention for identified students. Facilitate and manage the Response to Intervention (RTI) process. Create, implement, and support Classroom Accommodation Plans (CAMPs). Push into classrooms to support students and teachers as needed. Utilize valid teaching techniques aligned with curriculum goals and the school’s mission. Employ a variety of instructional strategies and materials to support the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional. Maintain appropriate discipline to ensure a safe and effective learning environment. Assess student progress regularly and provide required progress reports. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and parent communication. Administer screening assessments for prospective students as needed. Understand and implement all building emergency and safety procedures. Build strong, relational connections with students, families, faculty, and staff. Collaborate cross-functionally with classroom teachers, learning specialists, and administrators. Uphold and support CHCS’s Essentials of Faith, mission, and values. Represent Cherry Hills Christian School in a professional and Christ-honoring manner. Communicate clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner with parents and leadership. Respect confidentiality and uphold professional ethics. Build strong, relational connections with students, families, faculty, and staff. Other duties as assigned Position Details Position Type: Full-time / exempt Hours Per Week: 32 hours/week Salary Range: $ 45,000 - $65,000 / year (school year schedule) Benefits: Vacation, Sick Leave, 403(b), Medical, Dental, Vision Supervisor: Program Director Requirements QUALIFICATIONS A strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, evident in personal and professional life. Agreement with and commitment to CHCS’s mission statement, values, and faith statement. Bachelor’s degree in special education, Literacy, or a related field from an accredited institution. Advanced degree in Literacy or Math preferred. Training in academic intervention methods. Current ACSI and/or State Teaching Certification preferred. Willingness to pursue continued professional development and growth. Professional attitude and appearance. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
