You’ll join a dynamic, international team committed to inquiry-based learning, language immersion, and a joyful school JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a dynamic German and Math MYP teacher who will also serve as a homeroom teacher and teach other MYP subjects. HOW YOU WILL SUPPORT PINE STREET SCHOOL STUDENTS Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and creativity. Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and collaboration. Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to support student growth and development. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a strong home-school connection. Stay current with education research best practices, and continuously reflect on and improve teaching practices. Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement interdisciplinary units of study that connect multiple subjects and real-world issues. Participate in professional development opportunities to further personal and professional growth. Participate in occasional evening and afterschool obligations, including prep, admissions, ambassador support, parent education, and community building events. Fluent in German (highly advanced German language skills, C2 level) Minimum of three (3) years middle school teaching experience Experience in an IB School, Independent School or International Teaching experience strongly preferred A valid teaching certification (or equivalent) Fluent in English (able to successfully attend workshops, read professional information and work collaboratively in the language.) Experience in a 1:1 student device environment Experience teaching with Apple learning technologies and Google Workspace Desire to participate in co-curricular activities Fully authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future preferred
