As the Middle School Principal, you will be responsible to provide spiritual, educational, relational, and strategic leadership. You will partner with parents and lead the 5 th -8 th grade teachers to enrich the minds and disciple the hearts of students in an academically excellent, Christ-centered environment. Job Requirements & Qualifications: Possess a strong Christian faith with a solid knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity. Believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith and Guiding Principles. Possess a passion for Christian education and student discipleship. Individual must be comfortable connecting the biblical truths and biblical worldview perspectives in their leadership with staff and students, and throughout the curriculum. Serves on the school leadership team and works closely with the Head of School to fulfill Legacy’s mission and strategic plan as it relates to the 5th -8th grade staff, students, and program. Develop a Christ-like, biblically-based culture amongst the teachers and staff that encourages and supports creativity, collaboration, professionalism, and growth. Leads a middle school program that effectively allows for the middle school students to be known, discipled, and prepared by equipping their minds and discipling their hearts for Christ-like living. Provides students a middle school experience full of exploratory opportunities and experiential learning within and outside of Legacy’s walls. Fosters a student-focused, Christ-centered culture where students are invested in to become biblically grounded, disciples of Christ; faithful and courageous, servant leaders; intellectually prepared, accomplished learners; morally disciplined, students of character, and God-glorifying, spirit-led worshippers. A belief that God has called parents to be the primary disciples/educators of their children and as a result, relationally partners with parents in their God-given mandate. Comfort with or openness to learning school management software and other online teaching tools such as Google Classroom, Google suite, and student information systems. Ability to work with all functions - administration, support staff, other faculty, and students. Minimum of 5 years of administrative leadership. Master’s degree in education or administration preferred.
