Description Position Overview Davidson Academy is seeking a full-time 7th grade Science and Social Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate possesses the skills and enthusiasm for the subject area, as well as a desire to see students improve and succeed. The 7th grade teacher will be working closely with the 7th grade team and the Science and Social Studies departments to produce high-quality instruction and engaging content. Davidson Academy is an Infant-12th grade Christian private school located in Nashville, TN. Serving a diverse student population from Davidson County and the surrounding counties, we believe in the Biblical-based instruction of preparing our students for college, life, and eternity. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging, standards-based lesson plans that facilitate academic growth for all students Differentiate instruction utilizing a variety of teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs Create a positive classroom environment that embodies Davidson's Christian principles Develop assessments that accurately evaluate student mastery of course content/skills Maintain accurate records, grade assignments promptly, and uphold course/grading policies Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve instructional practices Provide individual guidance and academic support for struggling students as needed Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress Supervise students during non-classroom times, upholding school behavioral standards Participate in scheduled faculty meetings, trainings, and professional development Other duties as assigned by administration to support the Davidson community Additional Requirements and Preferred Skills Ethical, exhibits high morals, and maintains confidentiality of information.
