MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER.

The requirements for this position are:
* a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and appropriate New York State Department of Education certification and qualifications prescribed by law.
plan lessons linked to the New York State Next Gen standards
for grades 5,6, 7, & 8
*engage students in a rigorous curriculum
*have strong classroom management skills
*develop clear and appropriate lesson plans and identify
instructional materials on a weekly basis
*be professional in all dealings with students, families, staff, and all
stakeholders
*actively participate in ongoing professional development
*be a part of a close, supportive faith community
**support the school’s mission, vision, and policies
