Job Title: Middle School Spanish Teacher Job Description All Saints' Episcopal School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Middle School Spanish Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing middle school students in Spanish language and culture, fostering a love for language learning, and creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. Job Responsibilities Develop and deliver comprehensive Spanish language lessons to Middle School students, grades 6-8 Foster students' proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish. Provide opportunities for students to practice and improve their language skills. Incorporate cultural components through the lens of Spanish and Hispanic culture, history, and traditions into the curriculum. Evaluate and assess students' language skills through assignments, projects, and assessments. Provide constructive feedback to support students' language development. Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Organize and participate in cultural activities, events, and celebrations related to the Spanish-speaking world. Stay informed about current best practices in language instruction. Attend and participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to curriculum enhancement. Communicate effectively with students and parents course content and classroom expectations, perform Parent Conferences and other student/parent check-ins. Participate in daily Chapel services and weekly Eucharist services. Lead a Middle School Advisory Group and follow Advisor Expectations. Attend and participate in Languages Department Meetings and expectations. Collaborate with Lower School and Upper School Spanish faculty to ensure alignment and consistent teaching practices. Required to use technology and online platforms through the use of 1:1 student device. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Spanish education, or a related field. Teaching certification or licensure. Proficiency in the Spanish language. Prefer teacher experience with CI/ADI methodologies. A passion for teaching Spanish to Middle School students. Effective communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills. Dedication to creating a positive, student-centered, engaging classroom experience. Dynamic, energetic, and able to build lessons and activities that support the Middle School Spanish goals and vision.
