MIDDLEWARE SPECIALIST - SENIOR:

On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a Middleware Specialist - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

MIDDLEWARE SPECIALIST - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role involves supporting critical projects focusing on middleware products and API integration. The candidate will work on middleware software installation, configuration, tuning, and administration to support large applications.

MIDDLEWARE SPECIALIST - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Experience with Apache HTTP Server, IBM HTTP Server, and IBM WebSphere
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with middleware and gateways
  • Experience with development frameworks and technologies
  • Experience in application monitoring and support
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex technical issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

MIDDLEWARE SPECIALIST - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Information Management principles and practices
  • Understanding of PKI Security Infrastructure
  • Familiarity with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA)
  • Experience with ITIL standards for system monitoring and performance
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
Responsibilities
  • Provide planning, consulting, technical analysis, and design of middleware products
  • Deploy, develop, test, implement, maintain, upgrade, and support middleware products
  • Perform middleware software installation, configuration, tuning, and administration
  • Conduct application monitoring and support
  • Participate in change management and release management processes
  • Analyze and resolve data integrity, security, configuration, and recovery issues
