POSITION SUMMARY:

The Midnight Aide/Cook is responsible for providing care and assistance to residents during the overnight shift while also performing housekeeping task and preparing meals as scheduled. This role ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents while maintaining a clean and supportive environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or food preparation preferred.
  • Ability to cook basic meals and follow dietary restrictions.
  • Ability to clean and follow direction from task list.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and able to work independently.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Must meet state and facility requirements for aide/caregiver staff.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, bend, reach, and stay awake during the shift.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while cooking or assisting residents.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
    Expected hours: 32 per week

Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, toileting, mobility, and other resident needs.
  • Monitor residents’ safety and well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to call lights and emergencies.
  • Prepare and serve scheduled meals according to the menu and dietary guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, and work areas after meal preparation.
  • Document care provided and any changes in residents’ condition in accordance with facility policies.
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean environment.
  • Communicate effectively with day-shift staff to ensure continuity of care.
