Description Summary of Duties The mid-week childcare staff oversees mid-week childcare rooms by ensuring the curriculum is taught and safety policies and procedures are followed. They oversee, encourage, and assist in caring for children during mid-week classes and special events. Essential Functions Educate volunteers about safety procedures. Ensure the procedures and schedule are followed. Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents. Change diapers and assist with toileting according to CTK policy. Provide support and correction for children using the agreed-upon behavioral support system. Sanitize toys and return the room to its original organizational set-up. Complete time cards promptly and with accuracy. Respond promptly to schedule requests from the Children’s Discipleship Director Report any injuries or incidents immediately to the Children’s Discipleship Director. Follow all CTK policies, procedures, and infrastructure systems to ensure that all interdepartmental efforts flow smoothly, limit risk, and respect coworkers. Other duties as deemed necessary by the Children’s Director. Requirements Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills Ability to master and communicate CTK safety policies Strong communication skills CPR/First Aid Certification, Infant - Adult Preferred Personal conduct must reflect the values and standards of CTK Must be able to sit on the floor, bend to reach objects on the floor and above one’s head, and lift 30 or more pounds
