Description

We are looking for a passionate, creative, Midweight Graphic Designer to join us at our head office in Newton-le-Willows. We’re looking for someone who can bring experience to our team but also collaborate and learn from our growing marketing team.
You will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the future success of Davanti Tyres. Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer and the Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within an innovative and forward-thinking company. Your ability to create engaging design concepts to present the brands with a premium look and feel is essential.
This is an office-based role (within our Newton-le-Willows head office). You will be working within the marketing department and liaising closely with the group’s sales teams working on brands such as Davanti Tyres, Envoy Tyres, Landsail Tyres, Oak Tyres and The Tyre Outlet.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong, creative, and diverse portfolio showing proven track record in graphic design
  • Up-to-date knowledge of and excellent skills across Adobe’s Creative Cloud, in particular Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator & InDesign
  • Previous experience working to brand guidelines
  • Experience with signage and/or large-scale design work, including but not limited to Trade stands and retail
  • Knowledge of digital design
  • Knowledge of typography, letters, fonts, and how they affect visual communication
  • The ability to work across several projects at one time and manage own workload
  • Team player able to drive standards and lead by example
  • A strong work ethic ensuring design and collateral is delivered to deadlines.
  • Confidence in basic text proofing and editing
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role, ideally in-house or at an agency.
  • BA (Bachelor of Arts) Degree in Graphic Design or a similar discipline
Responsibilities
  • Conceptualising, developing and executing inspiring visual assets and designs
  • Working under own creative and with direction from business stakeholders to create assets for the groups’ brands
  • Playing a pivotal role in logo and brand development and designing catalogues, brochures, flyers, large format print, signage, packaging and digital assets for web and social, and internal communications when required
  • Designing email templates for our brand’s email newsletters
  • To interpret and answer briefs with ease showing confidence in your numerous presented concepts that not only meet but inspire stakeholders ideas
  • Work with and support the Senior Graphic Designer and fellow Graphic Designer as and when is required
  • Supporting our Brand Manager with signage requests, following brand guidelines to ensure primary brand design is supported whilst considering customer needs
  • Supporting the Sales Directors with the management and design execution of up to date pricing catalogues
  • Supporting our Social Media and Events Managers with concepts in line with our product promotions and activities
  • Exceptional attention to detail that takes pride in your work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with confidence to present and explain ideas to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Offering creative support to various stakeholders across the business
  • Working within brand guidelines whilst also keeping the brands fresh in their look and feel, offering new ideas and presenting opportunities
  • Keeping abreast of the latest trends and maintaining a fresh look and feel to assets generated
  • General ad hoc office duties to ensure departmental tasks are completed
  • Managing the marketing server folders, keeping files structured and efficient
