JOB TITLE: MIG/TIG WELDER

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Salary: £15.50 - £16.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday from 07:00am to 17:15pm
  • Fridays from 07:00am to 13:00pm

    Job Description: As a MIG/TIG Welder, you will be working with a variety of components, primarily welding mild steel. You’ll be reading and interpreting engineering drawings to complete your work efficiently and to the highest standard. Your role will involve handling materials, assembly tasks, welding, and other associated duties, ensuring compliance with all customer specifications and production deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Set, operate, and maintain MIG and TIG welding machines and related equipment
  • Perform MIG welding primarily on mild steel
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute welding projects
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces to ensure they meet customer specifications
  • Use measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to inspect parts
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot welding-related issues
  • Carry out general fabrication tasks (cutting, grinding, drilling, etc.)
  • Ensure production deadlines are met
  • Report any issues or faults to the Production Supervisors
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Health & Safety legislation at all times
