Description JOB TITLE: MIG/TIG Welder Level I JOB SUMMARY The MIG/TIG Welder Level I is responsible for the fabrication and welding of aluminum and stainless steel. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Ability to pass weld test At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying, and measuring material Must be able to lift 50lbs PREFERRED SKILLS At least 1 year of MIG and TIG welding experience in a production environment preferred At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances Forklift certification CORE DUTIES Perform MIG and TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Examines weld for bead size and other specifications Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding HOURS 1st shift position Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Overtime as needed SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
