JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding techniques, including the ability to assemble and fabricate metal components with precision. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all welding projects.
This is a temporary role for 6 to 12 months which can lead to permanent for the ideal candidate.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques, with experience in stick welding considered an advantage.
  • Strong ability to assemble and fabricate metal components accurately.
  • Familiarity with operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Solid understanding of sheet metal properties and welding processes.
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge, enabling effective problem-solving during fabrication tasks.
  • Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations related to welding projects.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks undertaken.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
  • Assemble components using hand tools and power tools, demonstrating proficiency in both.
  • Must have experience with Aluminium, Mild Steel and using jigs and fixtures
  • Fabricate metal parts from sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
