Description
Learn and follow all procedures associated with the welding department. Able to identify/read and mig -weld per print including weld symbols. Assist in maintaining the department's production schedule. Properly maintain, record and handle material. Read and understand schematics, drawings, and other work instructions. Set up jobs by selecting appropriate jigs, fixtures, weld patterns, components, programs, tooling, etc. and using them correctly. Use hand tools/machines/hoists, etc. to assemble parts for welding. Operate/tend the welding machines, including monitoring of gauges, the appearance of the weld stitches, the sound of the welding machine, &; other feedback mechanisms - &; tuning them to optimize the welding process for quality &; efficiency. Conduct quality control checks on your work by inspecting, operating, and testing your finished products/processes to verify functioning, machine capabilities, or conformance to required specifications, and make any needed adjustments or repairs immediately. Perform cleaning operations (scale &; BB removal, etc.) on parts post-weld. Perform other supporting processes, such as basic routine maintenance, clocking in/out of jobs electronically so that parts can be tracked, and helping control costs by operating effectively &; efficiently. Have basic working knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Troubleshooting, determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Produce quality product in a team environment to meet department goals and objectives Perform TIG welding process as needed Your responsibilities will include Must be able to pass the Welding test Must be able to read engineering drawings Must be aware of all safety protocols Must know how to operate a jib and/or bridge crane Must be able to read and understand welding instruction and procedures Self-motivated individual which understands the importance of time constraints. Bending, squatting, walking or standing for long periods of time may occur Must be able to lift at least 35 lbs consistently. Must be flexible with work schedule and overtime hours The ability to pass drug and criminal background screenings Proficient in Tig welding 3yrs+ years of welding experience Forklift training is a plus Mig welding stainless steel is a plus Minimum high school diploma [ACTION REQUIRED - DO NOT POST AS IS]Describe what is absolutely required for the role, meaning that the candidate cannot be hired if they do not have these requirements.
