At PLCS we strive for excellence throughout the company. It is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is key. As part of the Fabrication team at PLCS you will be expected to make mild steel fabrications to bespoke designs. No two days are the same which makes this job interesting and fresh. From design to finished product, you will be fully involved in every step. Experience in this field would be advantageous with training from our current Welder/Fabricators provided. A weld test will be required at interview stage. Other work would be expected of you in the yard in quiet periods – Helping in the stores, Helping with grit blast machines Etc. A full valid driving licence would be advantageous.

• Interpret drawings, and measurements to design layouts.
• Perform welding and fabrication tasks using various techniques and tools.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards.
• Operate various hand tools and machinery for cutting, bending, and forming materials.
• Maintain welding equipment and associated tools.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and to specification.
• Finishing – including spray painting the finished job
• The job can be physically demanding at times
