MIG Welder Company Overview: ASME Certified Pipe Welding Shop and NavC approved, specializing in commercial standard welding (a step above typical). Focus on custom fluid delivery systems for the Navy and marine applications, including skids with filtration pumps, 1-3 inch pipe, power systems for ships, structural and pipe welding. Involves drilling holes, fabricating pipes, making angled frames, miter cuts, and more. Key Responsibilities: Perform MIG welding on Carbon Steel Handle a combination of structural and pipe welding for marine systems. Fabricate components such as frames, pipes, and skids. Participate in weld tests (half-hour to one hour on stainless pieces). Qualifications and Requirements: Experience with MIG welding on Carbon Steel; ability to handle both MIG and TIG is a plus. 5+ years of welding experience preferred for experienced hires, but open to mid-level candidates who are moldable and trainable. Recent graduates from 2-year welding schools welcome; company invests in training to develop skills. ASME/NavC qualification required (all hires must get qualified). Strong attitude emphasized over perfect experience; must be reliable and adaptable. Safety gear provided (hard hat and boots). Shift: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM Monday - Friday (Overtime Available) Wage: $25/hour + Employment Type: Temp-to-hire (target 3 months or 480 hours, with buyout option). Overtime: Occasionally 10 - 15 extra hours per week; not demanded.
