Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder with experience using .035 wire to weld light-gauge steel, including 14, 16, and 12 gauge red (plain) and galvanized materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding thin materials with precision, maintaining structural integrity while minimizing distortion and burn-through. Key Responsibilities: · Perform MIG welding using .035 wire on 14 Ga, 16 Ga, and 12 Ga red and galvanized steel materials. · Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding symbols. · Set up welding equipment, including voltage, wire feed speed, and gas flow for optimal results on thin material. · Inspect welds to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications. · Grind, clean, and prep metal as needed to ensure strong weld joints. · Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all company safety protocols. · Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment. Requirements Qualifications: · Proven experience in MIG welding, especially on light gauge steel. · Ability to work with galvanized materials without compromising weld quality. · Familiarity with .035 wire setup and thin material welding techniques. · Strong attention to detail and quality control. · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. · High school diploma or GED preferred; welding certification is a plus. Qualifications: · Experience in a production or manufacturing environment. · AWS certification (optional but preferred). · Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
