As a Military Deception (MILDEC) Planner you will provide technical expertise supporting Joint Information Operations (IO) and Irregular Warfare (IW) planning and execution, with a focus on competition activities and readiness to surge for contingencies, crisis action, disaster relief, and exercises. The role develops and integrates MILDEC concepts and products into joint plans and orders, ensuring alignment with Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) and broader Information Related Capabilities (IRCs) in support of USFK operations, activities, and investments (OAIs). Responsibilities : Develop MILDEC operational concepts, plans, annexes/tabs, estimates, and related deliverables for joint planning Research, develop, validate, utilize, analyze, and assess MILDEC tools and capabilities and their integration with IO/IW and sensitive activities Incorporate MILDEC and related IRCs into operations orders, annexes, and evaluation/assessment plans Support USFK and components in establishing and managing IO and sensitive activities planning/execution processes, including coordination across stakeholders Review and advise on impacts of national strategies, policies, and joint doctrine on deception planning and execution Contribute to IRC proposals and roll-ups to amplify effects of USFK OAIs and support campaign synchronization Qualifications Required : Active TS//SCI with SAP and ACCM eligibility Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience) 5+ years of experience in joint planning, information operations, deception planning, or related operational planning Demonstrated ability to produce staff-quality planning products (concepts, annexes/tabs, estimates) and staff them through coordination processes Working knowledge of joint doctrine/strategy analysis and its application to operational planning Ability to operate effectively in a security-conscious environment and comply with all training/access requirements Desired: Prior service or direct support experience at a Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Task Force (JTF), or component headquarters Experience integrating deception with broader IRC portfolios and campaign planning (OIE integration) Experience supporting sensitive activities planning and assessment in classified environments Potential Scenarios & Expected Outcomes Competition operations support: integrated MILDEC inputs embedded into campaign planning and execution, aligned to OIE Crisis/exercise surge: rapid MILDEC planning deliverables and assessment framework incorporated into orders and evaluations - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.
