Job Description Summary The Military IPT Senior Strategy Leader is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with the Military Engines Integrated Project Team's (IPT’s) mission to enhance the capability and capacity of the Defense and Systems Supply Chain. This role focuses on driving supplier performance, ensuring compliance with GE Aerospace’s Behaviors (Respect for People, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Driven), and achieving measurable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). The ideal candidate will leverage GE Aerospace’s proprietary FLIGHT DECK lean operating system to optimize sourcing processes and deliver results. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing Leadership Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with the Military IPT’s business objectives, including supplier development, cost reduction, quality improvement, and delivery performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, and program management) to identify and qualify suppliers that meet GE Aerospace’s stringent requirements. Lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong, long-term relationships. Influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation. Supplier Management Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure alignment with GE Aerospace’s SQDC priorities. Monitor supplier performance using FLIGHT DECK metrics and drive corrective actions to address gaps in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, ensuring business continuity and resilience. Continuous Improvement Apply FLIGHT DECK lean principles to optimize sourcing processes, reduce lead times, and improve supply chain efficiency. Lead Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives to drive measurable results in sourcing operations. Partner with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements while maintaining compliance with aerospace standards. Data-Driven Decision Making Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to inform sourcing strategies and ensure alignment with GE Aerospace’s goals. Utilize data analytics tools and systems (e.g., Spotfire, Oracle, etc.) to track performance, forecast demand, and identify improvement opportunities. Prepare and present sourcing strategy outcomes and recommendations to senior leadership. Use high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision. Compliance and Governance Ensure sourcing activities comply with GE Aerospace policies, industry regulations, and export control requirements. Manage contracts and agreements to protect GE Aerospace’s interests and ensure compliance with terms. Uphold GE Aerospace’s commitment to unyielding integrity in all sourcing activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in Supply Chain) Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing Desired Characteristics Proven track record of developing and executing successful sourcing strategies in a complex, global aerospace environment. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Expertise in lean principles, continuous improvement, and risk management, ideally within the FLIGHT DECK operating system. Proficiency in data analytics tools and ERP systems (e.g., IMPACT). Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. The base pay range for this position is $126,700.00 - $169,100.00 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close by November 7, 2025.
