Job Title: Military Scheduler Department: Operations Control Center Reports To: Manager of Aircraft Scheduling FLSA Status: Nonexempt SUMMARY: The Military Scheduler is the primary point of contact for Sales and the US military for all military flying. They are responsible for developing viable military schedules, soliciting and disseminating interdepartmental feedback for those schedules, building and submitting schedules to the military, and maintaining/adjusting all military flight schedules once confirmed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Utilize scheduling programs (MISA/ASTRO/EXCEL/JOC/JFS) to manage military flight schedules in order to *  maximize utilization of aircraft *  reduce non-revenue flying *  Meet aircraft maintenance requirements *  Meet military requirements *  Protect schedule integrity and on-time performance 2. Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement viable military flight schedules to meet added demand 3. Coordinate with various departments (Crew Scheduling, Permits, Ground Services, etc.) to develop those Military schedules that can be executed in a safe, efficient, profitable manner. 4. Assist Aircraft Schedulers in maintaining day-to-day operations during periods when there is no active military schedule activity required 5. Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Aircraft Scheduling, or Assistant Manager of Aircraft Scheduling QUALIFICATIONS Military Scheduler must have experience in a flight dispatch center. Have attention to detail, be able to think analytically; multi-tasking and stress management skills required. Must be able supervise effectively. Must be a High school graduate. It is desired applicant have some college and/or technical school as well as an FAA Dispatch Certification. Applicant must demonstrate through the interview process the capability to speak and read the English language, the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, and the ability to convert between different units of measure, compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
