How You Will Make Contributions That Matter We are seeking a Veterinarian or a Milk Quality Specialist with experience in dairy to join our team in Gippsland on a part time; 12 month Fixed Term contract. As part of our Farm Milk Quality Team, you will play a pivotal role ensuring the responsible sourcing of milk from our suppliers. This includes consultative work around mastitis management and milk quality with our suppliers across the region. You will also have responsibility for implementing the Saputo Animal Welfare policy and representing Saputo at an industry level to drive best practice across the Australian dairy industry. Reporting to the Head of Milk Quality Assurance, your responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with farmers, Saputo Field Services, logistics partners, and manufacturing facilities. Lead and coach continuous improvement in milk quality performance through targeted initiatives. Investigate milk quality incidents and verify corrective actions. Ensure farms comply with regulatory standards in milk quality and food safety. Champion animal welfare and support sustainable agriculture practices. Provide insightful analysis and reporting to drive decision-making. About You Veterinary Science degree (preferably), Animal Science qualification, or background in agriculture or sustainability. OR Experience installing dairies and working closely with farmers. Experience in quality assurance within agriculture, preferably dairy. Exceptional relationship-building skills and ability to navigate sensitive situations. Strong IT skills for data analysis and reporting.
