It specialises in delivering top quality local milk in glass bottles alongside a range of groceries to customers doorsteps across mid-Cornwall. Based at Cardrew in Redruth the delivery rounds cover Mid & West Cornwall towns and villages.
This role is to cover at least 20 weeks holiday cover plus any sickness cover. For the right person there will be the opportunity to move to either a permanent part time role. This role would suit someone looking for ad-hoc hours who would be available to fill in as needed.
You will learn specific delivery routes alongside our existing team so you are fully trained and prepared. Deliveries are made overnight starting at around 8pm for a 10 to 12 hour shift depending on the route.
The right candidate will be friendly, calm, enjoy working independently as well as part of a team, and comfortable working to deadlines. You’ll need to be reliable and self-motivated with good attention to detail, manage your time well and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
You will be required to make deliveries so should have a full clean licence which allows you to drive vans up to 3.5t although our usual vans are smaller. You will also need to have a good sense of direction, able to find addresses on set route using our handheld devices, and reverse down narrow lanes when needed! Full training on the route will be given.
