JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the feed mill environment, including machinery, equipment, and working areas, in line with site standards, biosecurity protocols, and relevant health and safety legislation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning of all feed mill areas, including production areas, storage, intake, outload, control rooms.
• Clean equipment, machinery, and surfaces using appropriate methods (e.g. sweeping, vacuuming, pressure washing).
• Ensure dust and feed spillages are promptly removed to prevent contamination and fire hazards.
• Comply with biosecurity and hygiene requirements, including correct use of PPE and sanitization protocols.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete associated documentation/checklists.
• Report any hazards, damage, or maintenance needs to the Mill Manager.
• Assist with waste management and disposal in line with environmental procedures.
• Support mill operatives during downtime or shutdowns as required (e.g. assisting with deep cleans).
• Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the site.
