About the Milling Division: The Milling Division plays a critical role in our operations by preparing roadways for resurfacing. Our cold planing crews cut and remove existing asphalt pavement to ensure proper placement of new asphalt across the Tri-County area. Banks Construction owns a diverse fleet of milling machines, ranging from 2 feet to over 8 feet in width, allowing us to handle jobs of any size efficiently and effectively—there is no job too big or too small. What is a Milling Operator? A Milling Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining milling equipment. The operator must be skilled in running milling machines, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring that the equipment remains in peak working condition. What you will get to do: Perform tasks involving physical labor building, highway, and heavy construction projects. Operate milling equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain equipment to keep best of class standard. Work closely with the milling crew and foreman to meet production and quality goals. Ensure proper milling depths and smooth transitions using machine control systems such as TopCon Smooth Ride. Follow all company and OSHA safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the site supervisor. Who You Are: Must have mechanical inclination to maintain equipment as needed.
