Description Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Millwork Purchasing Manager to oversee material procurement for our custom architectural millwork projects. This role is critical to ensuring materials are sourced accurately, cost-effectively, and delivered on schedule to support production and project timelines. Key Responsibilities: Procure lumber, sheet goods, hardware, finishes, and specialty materials for custom millwork projects Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers Review shop drawings, cut lists, and specifications to ensure accurate purchasing Track material lead times and coordinate deliveries with project managers and shop supervisors Negotiate pricing, terms, and freight to control costs Resolve material discrepancies, shortages, and quality issues Maintain accurate purchasing records and inventory controls Collaborate with estimating, project management, and production teams Qualifications: 5+ years of purchasing experience in architectural millwork, cabinetry, or woodworking Strong knowledge of wood species, sheet goods, hardware, veneers, and finishes Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills Proficiency with purchasing systems, spreadsheets, and ERP software Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a custom or high-end architectural millwork environment Familiarity with LEED or FSC-certified materials Background in construction, woodworking, or manufacturing What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience Benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) Paid time off and holidays Stable workload with long-term career growth opportunities Collaborative team-oriented work environment
