REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATION

  • Experience working as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic in a production setting.
  • Journeyman Certification (Red Seal preferred).
  • Experience in hydraulics and PLC control systems preferred.
  • Excellent fabrication skills including GMAW, SMAW welding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound computer skills – Word, excel and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • First Aid, Aerial lift/fall arrest certificates are considered assets.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to the Crossfield manufacturing facility for all shifts.
Responsibilities

CORE is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Millwright to support our expanding operations at our Crossfield manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences and high-performance project execution.

Reporting to the Maintenance Lead, the Millwright is responsible for a broad range of maintenance activities that are performed to keep CORE Manufacturing equipment and facilities operating efficiently and effectively. Our Millwright also carries a key role in the facility’s Safety and Continuous Improvement programs. The work is sometimes fast paced and requires routine interaction with other operations employees.

  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, set up, install, maintain, repair, fabricate parts, and replace machinery and mechanical components.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule.
  • Support and expand the inventory of spare parts used to minimize production downtime.
  • Assemble, install, and commission new equipment.
  • Supports Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Support and expand our Work Request system.
  • Active member in creating a culture of Safety within the team and other co-workers.
  • Provide mentorship to manufacturing production operators regarding equipment maintenance/operation and troubleshooting.
  • Keep shop clean and organized through 5S (Kaizen) strategies.
