ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Available to work 10-hour shifts, Thursday through Sunday, with occasional overtime as required.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols with a strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on industrial mechanical components, including motors, belt conveyors, augers, compressors, rotary dryers & calciners, centrifugal fans, blowers, valves, pipes, and generators.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, using diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in inspections, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing demands.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and standing for extended periods.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

Lafarge’s Sundance Reclamation Facility near Lake Wabamun reclaims landfilled ash and repurposes it for use in concrete manufacturing. The facility is the first of its kind to utilize PABS technology from Ash-TEK to beneficiate landfilled materials, supporting Lafarge’s global commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and versatile Ticketed Millwright to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.
