Basic Job Functions: Nucor Vulcraft Utah is seeking applications for the position of Millwright. The Maintenance Millwright position will work closely with Maintenance and Operations personnel by providing technical expertise in developing and sustaining the product produced. This shall include predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance for heavy use industrial equipment. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications: Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and scheduled and unscheduled overtime on short notice Prior experience with, or understanding/knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic and power transmission systems. Willing/able to meet the physical work requirements, and perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation Preferences: 3 year experience in an industrial maintenance Equipment upgrade, installation, and commissioning experience Mechanical capacity to learn and work on plant industrial machinery Self-sufficient problem solver with great interpersonal skills Technical degree or technical certification Experience with any/all of the following: Rockwell PLC’s and drives, Siemens PLC’s and drives, Lenze drives, Safety PLC, etc. Nucor is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer – M/F/Disabled/Vets – and a drug – free workplace
