As a key member of the skilled trades team, the Millwright / Industrial Mechanic is essential to the success of the plant’s operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all production machinery.

Schedule: Rotating 8 hour shift schedule, days/afternoons/nights
Wage: $48.64/hour
QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold a valid and current Inter-Provincial Red Seal Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) certification.
A minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial production environment.
Flexibility to work rotating 8-hour shifts covering days, afternoons, and nights, and availability for overtime as required to support operational demands.
The physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working at heights, and standing for extended periods.
A demonstrated and consistent record of following safety protocols and procedures is mandatory for this skilled trades position.
Previous experience working with corrugating machinery or in a similar production environment will be considered a strong asset.
Exceptional mechanical aptitude with advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to quickly and accurately identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
A deep understanding of industrial machinery, including the intricate workings of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical power transmission systems.
Proven ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Strong knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance principles and their application in a manufacturing setting.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated skilled trades team.
An unwavering commitment to workplace safety, with a comprehensive understanding of best practices and safety regulations.
Proficiency in welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) is considered a significant asset for this Millwright / Industrial Mechanic role

Perform complex troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of corrugate manufacturing machinery and industrial equipment to ensure continuous operation.
Execute preventative and predictive maintenance schedules according to plan, completing all work orders efficiently to minimize production downtime and enhance equipment lifespan.
Install, maintain, inspect, and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and associated control units.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and detailed repair drawings to perform required maintenance and service.
Disassemble and reassemble machinery or equipment to perform inspections, repairs, or replacements of malfunctioning components.
Fabricate parts as needed using machine shop equipment such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines to facilitate timely repairs.
Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment structures and guards as necessary.
Document all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts usage accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, to maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with all regulations.
Collaborate with the production team and engineers to identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability and operational performance.
