ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Licensed Millwright at our Compost Mechanic Shop in Niagara Falls, ON. Our millwrights perform preventive and curative maintenance on a wide variety of mobile and fixed plant equipment at our site. This position will be reporting to the Operations Manager, Compost and RDO. The shifts run from Monday – Friday with the occasional weekend and/or overtime needed.

Responsibilities
  • Inspecting machinery and equipment to detect defects and irregularities.
  • Using welding equipment and power tools to fabricate parts during maintenance or set-up of machinery.
  • Interpreting blueprints and schematic drawings to follow work procedures.
  • Troubleshooting in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and requirements.
  • Repairing or replacing defective components using hand and power tools.
  • Designing, welding and manufacturing custom parts when needed.
  • Performing PMs.
  • Exercising good judgement and discretion in prioritizing maintenance repairs.
  • Demonstrating a strong commitment to established safety protocols and best work practices.
