Join our Wellness Support Team and help deliver high‑quality mindfulness programmes to our diverse communities across Auckland. The Role  We are seeking a Mindfulness Programme Coordinator to lead the delivery, coordination, and ongoing development of our Aotearoa Mindfulness and Awareness (AMA) programme. AMA is an evidence‑based 6‑week mindfulness course adapted from the gold‑standard Mindfulness‑Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme. Courses run weekly (2.5 hours) during daytime and evening sessions across Tāmaki Health clinics and community venues. As part of the Wellness Support Team, you will work within a supportive group of coordinators who manage a wide range of wellbeing services. Within this team, you will be the dedicated coordinator for the AMA mindfulness programmes, ensuring all aspects of the courses run smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee the full coordination pathway, from triage and patient contact to course preparation, data recording, and promotion. You will work closely with the AMA Clinical Lead, the WST Coordination Team, and wider Tāmaki Health staff to ensure high‑quality delivery and seamless integration within our Stepped Model of Care. There is also an exciting opportunity to train and eventually facilitate AMA programmes, with full training, supervision, and ongoing mentoring provided. What You Will Do * Make clinician‑supported triage decisions for all mindfulness programme referrals * Contact patients regarding referrals, registration, course details, and follow‑up information * Coordinate all course logistics, including venues, materials, equipment, and marketing * Complete programme documentation, including attendance records, psychometric measures, and evaluation data * Support the smooth delivery of AMA courses by working closely with the AMA Clinical Lead and WST Coordination Team * Contribute to planning and development of future AMA courses and improvements       You Will Have * A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a deemed equivalent qualification. Current psychology students are warmly encouraged to apply * A genuine personal interest in mindfulness, with your own regular mindfulness practice strongly preferred, this is central to the role and essential for supporting and eventually facilitating the AMA programme * Strong administrative and organisational skills * A can‑do attitude, empathy, and flexibility * Ability to build trusting relationships with patients and colleagues * Experience working with Māori, Pacific, and/or Asian communities  Who are we?  Tāmaki Health's "Wellness Support Team (WST)" was established in 2012 and is led by pioneering primary mental health psychiatrist Dr David Codyre. Recognised with the Best Mental Health Programme award at the 2021 New Zealand Primary Healthcare Awards, the WST delivers holistic care for people of all ages and whānau. The Wellness Support Team supports Tāmaki Health's General Practice teams to better meet patient wellbeing needs via a multi-faceted programme, including providing evidence-based psychological interventions integrated within primary care. From individual to group interventions, the diverse multidisciplinary team - including psychologists, therapists, Health Improvement Practitioners, Health Coaches, GPs with advanced training in mental health, administrative support, and group facilitators – provides a rich suite of services in GP clinics and the community. At the heart of the Wellness Support Teams mission is a commitment to innovation, accessibility, and culturally safe care. This is underpinned by Tāmaki Health’s organisational values. We believe we are here to serve, so we work as one, strive for a better tomorrow, be available, and take care of each other for the better good.
