We are currently looking for a Mine Closure Planner to join our Queensland based team to support our high performing team during a fantastic period of growth. As a Mine Closure Planner you’ll: * Support advisory projects including closure risk assessments, closure governance frameworks, and rehabilitation strategies. * Assist in the preparation of closure documentation, including mine rehabilitation and closure plans, closure risk assessments, and cost estimates for a range of mining, oil and gas, and resource projects. * Get involved in small, medium and large closure studies nationally and internationally. * Prepare high quality reports, undertake data reviews and gap analyses * Work with technical specialists across WSP’s environmental, water, geotechnical and planning teams to integrate closure requirements into broader mine planning. * Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and regulatory changes affecting mine closure. * Assist in stakeholder engagement processes related to closure and post-mining land use. What you’ll bring: * 2–5 years of relevant experience in mine planning, rehabilitation, closure, or environmental consulting. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ownership of your work. * Excellent time management skills. * An understanding of life-of-mine planning and its intersection with environmental and community outcomes. * Ability to work in a diverse and energetic team.
