Mine Controller – Expression of Interest – Building our pipeline of talent

Responsibilities

As a Mine Controller, you play a crucial role in providing support to our bauxite mining operational teams in Weipa and Gove to safely achieve mining targets by assigning and distributing mining equipment efficiently and effectively.
This role is an exciting opportunity to draw on your expertise in dispatching and fleet management and be a part of the team that helps shape the Brisbane OC for success. You will need to be a self-starter who thrives on achieving goals, working on continued self-improvement and can work calmly and independently under pressure.

Working a 12.5 day/night 4,5,5 shift roster in the Brisbane CBD within a diverse team and reporting to the Supervisor – Operations Centre, you will be:

  • Assigning and prioritising mining equipment to safely deliver the required tonnes and quality while considering changing priorities and conditions, mine haul lengths and equipment availability;
